Let us support Urduja

APT Entertainment, Seventoon and Imaginary Friends is producing a full-length animated feature based on the legendary princess. The film is set for release in June 18, 2008. The groundbreaking production will feature the speaking and singing voices of Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez (in the lead role of Princess Urduja); award winning actors Cesar Montano, Eddie Garcia, Johnny Delgado, Jay Manalo and Epy Quizon; comedians extraordinaire Michael V., Allan K. & Ruby Rodriguez. TV host Joey de Leon wrote the lyrics, and the music was composed by Ogie Alcasid and arranged by Mon Faustino. Friends, let us support this film. This is a labor of love from the Filipino animators who labored and toiled in order to come up with this project. I would like to commend Mr. Tony Tuviera for coming up with an idea of a locally-produced animated film about a local legend, and taking the risk of producing one. Hopefully if this movie becomes successful, this would be the start of more locally-produced animated films that can be at par with the ones produced abroad. I firmly believe that this movie will be a big success, and should be a viewing requirement in our local schools because of the history that goes with it. Please tell your friends and family to see Urduja. At least now, we have an animated film that is 100% Pinoy.
